Smaller organizations make list of Trade & Professional Associations.
AFTER TAKING A YEAR OFF, the Arkansas Business list of the state's largest trade and professional associations is back. This year's list is quite different from the one that appeared in November 2009 and includes almost twice as many respondents.
Though there is never a charge to be considered for any Arkansas Business list, some of the larger associations chose not to respond, causing us to rely on estimates from websites or past numbers. Many of the smaller organizations reported their numbers, however, accounting for a certain amount of diversity on this year's list. More than half the respondents for this year's list were organizations with fewer than 1,000 members, and about half had fewer than 500. There are several personnel changes to note on this year's list as well.
